Container Gate Operations Infrastructure
A complete gate installation — cameras, kiosk totem, QR scanner, safety-interlocked barrier, video intercom, and network, delivered and configured as one system. Haulers pre-register once; from there Autogate handles the rest. Drivers stay in the cabin, the barrier opens in seconds on a confirmed DepotMaster match, lift operators get digital job cards, gate-out confirms itself. Gate events observed at live deployments that took several minutes now complete in seconds. The EIR-linked, container-number-validated evidence record is a by-product of the gate running correctly — not a separate task added on top.
What Is Gate Operations Infrastructure?
How Gate Operations Infrastructure Works in Practice
Online Pre-Registration and Truck Approach
The hauler pre-registers each booking online — each booking generates one QR code for the driver. A driver with multiple bookings (e.g. a drop-off and a pick-up) arrives with one QR code per booking. The truck drives through the camera zone and stops at the kiosk totem — no staff involvement required at this stage.
Tracker Identification, Kiosk Display, and QR Scan
ConPDS Tracker detects the truck from the video stream, reads the licence plate and container number(s), selects the best result, and pushes the data to the kiosk app. The driver sees their plate and container numbers displayed on screen, then scans their QR code(s). The QR scan triggers the DepotMaster call — validating the OCR-captured data against the active booking in real time.
Automatic Barrier Control or Exception Routing
When all data matches — licence plate, container number(s), and QR booking — DepotMaster confirms and Tracker opens the barrier automatically. The driver proceeds without leaving the cabin. On any mismatch, the kiosk displays a clear message and connects the driver to the gate office via intercom. The office can correct the data and open the barrier manually — every decision is logged in the audit trail.
What Gate Operations Infrastructure Delivers — Throughput, Headcount, Audit Posture
Three things move in the same direction the moment the gate stops being a manual process: throughput per gate hour, headcount needed to run that hour, and the defensibility of the gate evidence the depot will be asked to produce months later. A disputed interchange charge without defensible evidence becomes a direct operational cost — at the gate, that cost is fully avoidable.
Built to Fit Your Gate, Not the Other Way Around
Automation does not require replacing what already works. Autogate adapts to your site, your operations, your systems, and your rollout pace — so the evaluation is not "can this fit us" but "how does this fit us".
The ConPDS Evidence Platform: Autogate · Tracker · Checker
Gate Operations Infrastructure
The complete gate installation — dedicated cameras for container OCR and licence plate recognition, a driver-facing kiosk totem with QR scanner, a safety-interlocked barrier with lane sensors, a video intercom to the gate office, and all network equipment. Delivered and configured as one integrated system.
The kiosk totem runs the self-service Autogate app — the driver-facing output of ConPDS Tracker. It guides the driver through gate-in or gate-out step by step, displaying exactly what Tracker has processed and what DepotMaster has confirmed, in plain language the driver can act on immediately.
Container OCR Infrastructure
GPU-powered processing running at the gate — Tracker ingests live video streams, detects motion, reads container numbers and licence plates in real time, and correlates all results into a single gate event. It coordinates the kiosk totems, communicates with DepotMaster, and executes the barrier decision the moment a match is confirmed.
Gate operators see everything from the office — live OCR reads with the exact camera frame used, licence plate data, and a mirrored view of what the driver sees on the kiosk screen. From the same interface they can speak to the driver via intercom, correct any data, force a barrier open, or remotely reset a kiosk totem. Whitelisted vehicles bypass the gate flow entirely.
Mobile Inspection Evidence Layer
The mobile evidence layer for inspection, repair, lease return, and PTI. Field technicians produce container-linked records (photo, video, audio) tied to the same ISO 6346 container number Autogate validates at the gate — one container, one chain of evidence across the gate, the yard, and the workshop.
Autogate is the complete physical gate. Tracker is the OCR infrastructure that drives it — and the control room from which gate operators manage every transaction in real time. The kiosk app guides each driver through their specific process. Checker captures the evidence the camera cannot see. Together they produce a single container-linked record chain, defensible end to end.
Built for On-Premise Security and Open Integration
Gate operation does not depend on the internet, and gate data is not locked in. For the full compliance posture and integration detail, see the Autogate System Architecture.
Frequently Asked Questions About ConPDS Autogate
Make the Gate an Infrastructure Decision, Not a Documentation Project
If the depot is still processing gate events manually, the cost compounds with every truck — minutes per visit, transcription errors that surface as disputes months later, and EIR records nobody can produce on demand. Gate operations infrastructure replaces that with a measurable process: throughput per gate hour, headcount needed to run that hour, and a defensible EIR-linked evidence record that comes for free with the gate running correctly.
